Eva-no-justu, lots of people call me Eva.

- How many years have you cosplayed?

- How did you get into cosplaying?
I saw so many awesome pictures of cosplayers and I was super into Death Note. I'm Slovenian and stand by the fact that Mello is Slovenian so I thought it would be fun to be him, plus hes one of my all time favorite characters~


- What was your first convention and how did it go?
AFO 08. It was awesome!

- How many cons have you been to?
AFO '08, OtroniCon '09, MegaCon '09, JaCon '09, MiniMega '09, ChibiPa '09, AFO '09, so 8

- How many cosplays have you done?

[Your Cosplays]

- What was your first cosplay and why did you choose it?
Mello, because I *thought* I looked like him (not), was a good height, and loooooooooooved Death Note XD

- What is your favorite cosplay you've done so far?
Uhmmm. Marluxia. He makes me feel badass and pretty at the same time XD

- What is your least favorite you've cosplayed?
Prolly Chi. I just didnt pull that off well. Obviously, after I premired her, she turned into Vexen XD

- What cosplay is the most uncomfortable?
Either Mello cause I feel fat and exposed and have to super bind or Vexen because of the coat and the mess of a wig =_=

[Process]

- How do you research the cosplay before you make it?
Look at other cosplays, eBay research, look at lots of pictures and play the game/watch the anime with scenes of the character MULTIPLE times

- Do you sew your cosplays yourself?
Not at first, I just started with Amber Sweet and Harley Quinn, so far so good

- If so, how did you learn to sew? If not, do you plan to learn?
Girlscouts hell yeah XD

- Do you make your own props?
Ive only used one prop and it was made by sunny I plan on making Harley's Mallet though, and I helped on Marly's scythe.

- If so, how did you learn to? If not, do you plan to learn?
Help from my dad

- Do you style your own wigs?
For the most part, yes. But basic wigs like Soubi (new wig came in a week ago ) and amber and mello come pretty much styled already.

- What other skills do you use to create your cosplays?
I wish I used my acting skills to stay in character better XD


- What skill has been most useful for making your cosplay?
My ebay skills XD And sewing, makeup and wig styling.

- What is the hardest thing when making a cosplay?
MONEY! D:

- What was the biggest screw up you've had making a cosplay?
Hahahahha. The marly scythe that has now been broken and remade.....3? times? XD

- How often do you injure yourself while making a cosplay?
Surprisingly, not that much XD

- Do you try to stay cheap or do you splurge on materials?
Depends on the cosplay~

- How far have you traveled for a convention?
3 hours to west palm beach for ChibiPa

- Do you usually stay in a hotel or stay at home when you can?
I love staying in hotel rooms, the people are amazing and its just easier that way



- What was your worst convention experience?
Megacon. =_=

- Have you ever cosplayed with a partner or group?
Ive only cosplayed once alone, and I tagged on with a group by the end of the day. Also, if I ever cosplay from a different series then my friends, I chill with them anyways. (Inuyasha and Tamaki at JaCon hell yeah)

- Do you try to act in character?
I try, I fail. I need to get much better at that

- Have you ever done fanservice at a con? (Yaoi, yuri, etc)
I believe the only time was the Haku x Shikamaru picture at Jacon XDDDDDD


- How do you react to cosplayers dressed as character from the same anime/game/etc?
Yush, I do tend to fangirl and ask for hugs XD

- Do you try to duplicate your character's expressions, walk, movements, etc?
I NEED TO ;_;



- When crossplaying, do you try to act as much like the gender as possible?
Yeah, once again, FAIL.

- What was your funniest experience of acting in character?
hahah uhmmmm. dude. chasing riku around for my rose back. I dunno if that was in character but it was funny. That and L rowing, and me making a video so he can remeber earth XD

- What was your worst experience acting in character?

I have in 5 now~

- Do you prefer skits or walk-ons?
Both are extremely fun!

Almost all of my good ones~ :3

Once, I want to go to more!

- What is the funniest reaction you've gotten to cosplaying from people outside of the community?
The Vexen fanboy at the arcade in universal. OR the people who worked the mummy ride who knew who we were, text their friends, and then found us n youtube XD

- What was the worst?
THE HOTNESS OF FLORIDA. Uhm but people glaring.

Con hangovers, the fact that it costs money XD

I dunno. Less yaoi paddles by fail cosplayers -nudges jem, hides in corner-, one day I want to be a famous cosplayer, selfish yes but hey, its the truth

Chibi-Pa 2009 Review

Friday
So friday was pretty fun~ We got there kinda late-ish and Val and I dressed as "Magnet" version Meiko and Kaito. The amazing thing was that people ACTUALLY reconized who we were. So that was pretty cool. We watched the "Whos Line is it Anime?" and it was extremely fun. For the party guests game I went up and had to be Darth Vader. The person in front of me was Stephen Hawking and that was freaking hilarious. XDD After awhile we changed into Rave! Meiko and Kaito and went to the pre-reg rave. It was pretty good, awesome music, but empty. So then we hopped over to the non pre-reg rave which was also the furry rave. So that was interesting XD Long story short, we rave hopped a lot, both had some of the best music ive heard at raves and no one knew how to really rave. Soooo yup. xD

Saturday
Whooooo Saturday XD So once we finally got up we dressed as Kairi and (barefoot) Sora~ We ran around and met and which was awesome because they are amazing~ Val then changed into Xemnas and we entered the costume contest which was pretty fun XD SO THEN later that night there was a paint rave. WHICH WAS THE COOLEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE AT A CON. A few minutes into it Val and I ended up on stage and danced there until literally the dance ended. IT WAS AMAZING~!


SO. Upcomming cons.

Next up is ZonaCon. So far I have Dark Woods Circus Meiko, Amber Sweet, and nothing for the thrid day planned. I think the roxas horror fell apart which is super sad cause I was lookin forward to that.

THEN. Otronicon. which will be all video game themed cosplays such as Marluxia, Meiko, and Aeris if shes done. Or what not. I really dont know for that one xD

THEN. Is Megacon. Right now I have Vocaloids group planned and Aeris with as Zack. Which is freaking epic since weve wanted to do that forrrrrrrevvvvver. I wont be able to attend on Sunday sadly.

So yup. Thats about it.
